Introduction

Economics for Engineers is an introduction to basic economics for engineers and physical scientists. The premise is if you already know basic thermodynamics, then you already have an intuitive grasp of economics, because at its core, economics involves real life physical resources.

How This Book Works

This book shall introduce a thermodynamic concept. Although this may be a review for some readers, please read it to note the notation and the way it is expressed. Make sure to understand the core ideas.

Then a corresponding economic concept will be introduced and discussed. If you understand the thermodynamics above, you will already have a fundamental understanding of how the economic principle works.
