We will continue with Step 3 to Step 5 of the chi-square test for goodness-of-fit. To illustrate, we will use the examples from the last lesson (fair coin and local births). To get the most out of today’s lesson, please review how you did Step 1 and Step 2 in the examples from last lesson.

 

Instructions

  • There is only 1 problem in this lab work.
    • #21.22
      • Ignore all sub-parts.
      • Conduct a chi-square test to answer the following:
        • “Do the data support Mendel’s first law?”
        • Assume that the level of significance is 5%.
        • For your conclusion in Step 5, follow the format shown in the video:

“We (have or do not have) enough evidence to conclude that pea plant heights (follow or do not follow) the Mendelian genetic model.

(In other words, the findings (are or are not) … …. … ………. )”
