COURSE.CAFE™

FAQ

Getting Access to Create Your Own Courses

Course.Cafe may grant access to Course Cafe to new authors on a “beta” basis.

High Traffic Sites

Course.Cafe sites on the shared network are only set up to handle a moderate amount of traffic. Of you anticipate more traffic that would be caused by several classes, you may wish to contact us about higher capacity hosting.

Likewise, if you have a large class all of whom might simultaneously download large ebooks (PDFs), those students might encounter temporary errors. They should try to download again later. Alternatively, you could download the PDF itself and place it on your university’s learning management site such as Moodle or Blackboard.

Privacy and Security

Sensitive or confidential information, such as social security numbers, student addresses and grades should not be placed on Course.Cafe, including in your personal profile. These should be placed on a system that is better set up to protect user information such as your university’s learning management site or student records system.
